Born and raised in Senegal, West Africa, Dr Konte journey started as a Physician in a tuberculosis clinic and in 2010 she followed her husband in the US. Naturally, she pursued her heart. Director of Health Programs serving the African Immigrants Community, she oversees screening and referring immigrants to needed services as well as navigating the complex New York City health care system.
Mother of 2, she believes that empowering mothers and children is an unavoidable path to build strong communities and that include assuring their physical and mental well-being.
